Hilton Garden Inn Boston/Waltham

We came to this hotel as part of our road trip. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. It turned out that we had booked a room with a king bed (the application indicated a standard room) and we were upgraded to 2 beds at no extra charge. The room was clean and modern, the beds and pillows were comfortable. The small gym is equipped with all the necessary and modern equipment. So why such a low rating? When checking in, the lady listed all the amenities - gym, swimming pool and their opening hours, breakfast time. But she forgot to mention that breakfast is for an additional fee. When we went downstairs in the morning, we saw the usual buffet, as in all hotels, and it was also not written anywhere that breakfast was not included in the stay. And only when we started eating and the employee asked us our room number that I realized that something was going wrong. As a result, for a regular hotel breakfast for 2 adults and a child, we were charged $50+ ! Come on! For scrambled eggs and fruits with a donut? Even without pancakes or waffles or anything that's actually worth the money! Judging by the reviews, we are not the only ones who fell for this scam. All the good impressions of the hotel were ruined, as was the mood. We have stayed in other hotels of the Hilton chain, but nowhere have we encountered such a scam for money.

Hotel is immaculate and modern. Read reviews about trucks next door being noisy. I can say there are trucks next door. We stayed on 5th floor as close as possible to the truck yard and didn’t notice any noise. When I went to my car Saturday AM I heard trucks. We stayed Thurs-Sunday. Saturday night the truck yard was closed. Room was nice, bathroom clean , updated. Had dinner at the restaurant, food and service were better than expected. Pool looked clean, although not very big. Fitness center was clean and modern. Staff was helpful and polite. About 20 minute drive to Boston. Free parking which is a big plus. I would definitely go back. Kudos to management and staff.

Pretty clean, decent location with a twenty five minute drive to Boston. Shower pressure could be better. Beds comfortable. Nice to see pump bottle shampoo, conditioner, gel that are eco friendly. A bit tough to regulate temp to get the room comfortable. Free coffee/tea service in the lobby. Nothing too remarkable about this property but it is fine for a quick stay at a budget friendly price. Handicapped friendly.
